President's Corner
A Message From Dr. Teresa Garate

Dear Anixter Center Friends, Colleagues and Supporters:

It is with great excitement that I write the first letter to be included in our new Quarterly Newsletter. Now that I have been at the helm of this amazing organization for over six months, I am even more excited than when I started. Those of you who know me, know that I am a touchy feely person so amidst our clients I am in good company.

Jack Ehrlich, 81, lifelong resident of Chicago, son of Abe and Florence and brother of Lois, all who preceded him in death, passed away peacefully in his sleep in Carmel, Indiana on November 14, 2015 from the effects of Parkinson's disease which he determinedly fought for almost two decades. Jack is survived by his loving wife Carol, his children Craig Ehrlich, Rhonda Ehrlich (Jeff Tryba), Ilene Green, and Mitchell Ehrlich, his seven grandchildren whom he adored, and one great grandson. He was a CPA, an attorney, a trusted advisor to his clients, a lifelong fan of the Cubs, and a good and loyal friend. Jack lived a life in service to others. He was a board member of Anixter Center in Chicago, and founded the Anixter Center Literacy Program, which was later renamed the Jack Ehrlich Literacy Program in his honor. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

A memorial service for Jack Ehrlich will be held December 19, 2016 at Anixter Center, 2032 N. Clybourn Avenue, Polk Conference Room located on the 3rd floor beginning at 9:30.
